Multi-Addiction Tracker: One Recovery App for More Than One Category
RecoveryRoad supports multiple recovery categories, including alcohol, nicotine, drugs, gambling, pornography, gaming, food-related patterns, and other compulsive behaviors. It brings daily tracking and reflection into one app without treating every category as the same medical problem.
Keep the routine together. Keep the goals clear.

A shared routine is different from a shared treatment plan
You may want the same place to check in while working on more than one behavior. The journal can preserve context that crosses categories, such as a disrupted evening or a change in routine.
That convenience does not mean the risks or appropriate support are interchangeable. Alcohol withdrawal, gambling access, and gaming boundaries require different decisions. RecoveryRoad does not diagnose those needs.
Define each goal in plain language
Write down what a count represents. "No vaping" is not automatically the same as "no nicotine." "No betting" is different from "no spending." A clear definition makes your own record easier to interpret.
A journal can explain a change in your plan. Do not change prescribed medication or an appropriate treatment plan to preserve a streak. For food-related concerns, focus on care and safe routines rather than treating nourishment as something to avoid.
Choose the category-specific resource you need
Use the alcohol and drug resources for the limits of app-based support around substances. Use the gambling page to understand blocking and self-exclusion. Use gaming resources for boundaries and routines rather than automatic device control.
The category pages are there to explain these differences. They are not separate clinical programs delivered through the app.
Compare multi-category apps on the details
RecoveryRoad is not the only app that supports more than one category. I Am Sober and Nomo also describe multiple-category tracking. Evaluate the privacy experience, community features, account requirements, current billing, and what you can do without sharing.
Choose a tool that fits your actual task. A public community, a private journal, and a licensed care service are different forms of support, not interchangeable feature checkboxes.
Important limits
- Does not diagnose multiple conditions or provide a combined treatment plan.
- Does not replace specialist blockers, professional care, or emergency services.
- Does not recommend food restriction or stopping prescribed medication.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use RecoveryRoad for more than alcohol?
Yes. The app supports multiple recovery categories. Review the individual category pages for what tracking can and cannot do.
Should all my goals use the same start date?
Not necessarily. A date should describe the actual goal you are recording. The app cannot determine a clinically appropriate plan or verify your history.
Does support for food-related patterns mean I should stop eating?
No. Food is essential. Do not use a recovery counter to restrict nourishment, and seek appropriate professional support for eating-related concerns.
Is multiple-category tracking unique to RecoveryRoad?
No. Other recovery apps also offer multiple categories. RecoveryRoad's proposition is its combination of private daily reflection, tracking, and identity-focused work, not exclusive ownership of multi-category tracking.
